ATLANTA -- Georgia State gave the Sports Arena fans an exciting game as the Panthers tied Georgia Southern in the final minutes Saturday before falling 77-74.
Redshirt freshman Tehya Lyons saved her best performance of the season for the last game, scoring a career-high 21 points. Lyons was the catalyst for the Panthers as GSU mounted the comeback in the fourth quarter. GSU outscored GS 27-20 in the final period with Lyons scoring 12 of those points.
Lyons and the Panthers trailed the rival Eagles by 10 at the start of the fourth quarter and used 10 points off turnovers to tie the game at 70-70 with 44 seconds left.
