ATLANTA -- Women's basketball standout Jada Lewis is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week after she scored the game-winning basket Saturday as the Panthers handed Troy it’s first Sun Belt Conference defeat, 84-80, at the GSU Sports Arena.
Lewis scored 20 points in the win with her biggest basket coming with 16 seconds left and the score tied at 80-80. The sophomore guard drove to the lane and sank a floater high off the backboard to give GSU the lead, capping the Panthers' rally from an 18-point deficit in the second half.
On Thursday against South Alabama, Lewis scored 14 points to go with three assists, three rebounds and two steals.
