Late Runs Send Panthers to 6-2 Loss

LITTLE ROCK -- Georgia State fell 6-2 as Little Rock broke a 2-2 tie with four late runs to win its second straight and clinch the series at Gary Hogan Field.

The loss spoiled a strong start by GSU's junior left-hander Tyler Koch, who pitched six innings and allowed just two runs on four hits with four strikeouts.

Koch departed a 2-2 game, but Little Rock took the lead on Troy Alexander's solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Trojans added three insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth, which proved to be significant because the Panthers loaded the bases with two outs in the ninth.
