ATLANTA - Georgia State is one of six regional hosts for the inaugural National Invitational Softball Championships, officials announced Sunday. Five teams, including the Panthers, will compete Tuesday through Thursday at the Heck Softball Complex for a spot in the NISC Finals.
Georgia State was announced as the Sun Belt Conference's Automatic Qualifier into the NISC late Sunday night. At the same time, GSU became one of six hosts for the regionals (May 16-18). Competing with GSU in Region 5 is Alabama State, Kennesaw State, UT Martin and Western Kentucky.
The regional bracket is May 16-18 and the seeding is determined by RPI.
