JONESBORO, Ark. - Jada Lewis' game-winning layup lifted Georgia State to a 64-62 road victory at Arkansas State Thursday night.
Trailing 60-51 with under five minutes to go in the game, Georgia State (16-11, 10-6 SBC) mounted a ferocious comeback to top the Red Wolves (10-16, 5-10 SBC) for the first time since 2013-14.
With GSU down by five with 2:10 remaining, Janessa Murphy nailed her second 3-pointer of the game to cut the AState lead to two. Jada Lewis then hit another 3-pointer to give GSU a one-point lead with 50 seconds left.
