Georgia State outlasted South Alabama 3-2 Friday night in a thrilling affair at GSU Sports Arena. This marks GSU’s first conference victory of the season.
Three Panthers notched double-digit kills behind Kampbell Hehr’s 42 assists during the contest. Senior Madelyn Ott posted 13 kills, her season best. Meisheia Griffin led the team in blocks (7) and kills (16). Sydney Stroud extended her double-digit kill streak to seven straight games.
South Alabama would take the opening set 25-20. The squads were tight in the beginning, but the Jaguars would take advantage of a GSU serving error and go on a 6-1 run in the middle of the set.
