MIAMI – Georgia State women’s basketball earned a 67-61 win at FIU Monday night to improve to 3-0 on the season under new head coach Gene Hill.
Debuting brand new black uniforms, the GSU Panthers outlasted the FIU Panthers at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center behind a 20-point performance by Jada Lewis. It was the second time in as many games the guard reached the 20-point mark.
K.K. Williams scored a career best 16 points and Allison Johnson was the top rebounder for GSU with 10. Shaq Miller-McCray was a big factor in the paint on defense, totaling six blocks, just one shy of her career high.
