MONROE, La. – Georgia State women's soccer extended its win streak to three games after knocking off ULM 2-0 Friday night at Brown Stadium, picking up three crucial points in conference play with only one regular season game remaining.
The win moved GSU to 7-8-2 overall and 4-4-1 in the Sun Belt, putting the team in a tie for fifth place in the league standings. The Panthers will head into their regular season finale needing a win or draw against Appalachian State to guarantee a spot in the conference tournament.
Georgia State got on the board just two minutes into Friday's contest, as reining Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week Brooke Shank netted her second goal in the last three contests to give the Panthers an early advantage.
