ATLANTA - Georgia State women's basketball head coach Sharon Baldwin announced Monday the addition of assistant coach Tron Griffin. Griffin served as the head coach at Truett McConnell for the 2016-17 season.
In his one season at TMU, Griffin led the Lady Bears to a 15-16 record just two years removed from the school's 6-22 season in 2014-15. Under Griffin's leadership, Ariana Sanders was named First-Team All-Appalachian Athletic Conference and TMU saw two of their freshman named to the all-freshman team. The Lady Bears ranked 11th in NAIA D-II in field goal percentage, shooting 36%.
"I am so excited about the addition of Tron to the Panther family," Baldwin said.
