ATLANTA - After falling to Chattanooga and defeating California Baptist during the first day of the GSU Invitational, Georgia State fell to Memphis in the invitational finale at GSU Sports Arena Saturday evening.
Meisheia Griffin was tabbed to the All-Tournament after accumulating 25 kills with a .347 hitting percentage over the three matches. For the tournament, Georgia State went 1-2 as the Panthers fell to undefeated Memphis on Saturday.
In the first set of the match, Georgia State came out looking to make a statement as the Panther's jumped out to a 17-13 advantage.
