ATLANTA -- Darren Grainger and Marcus Carroll each broke the century mark on the ground to help Georgia State cruise to a 35-14 victory over UConn Saturday night at Center Parc Stadium.
The victory improved Georgia State's record to 2-0 on the season while the Huskies fell to 0-2.
The Panthers got the big days from Grainger, the senior quarterback who racked up 142 yards and one touchdown, and Carroll, who tacked on 107 yards and three touchdowns to lead the rushing attack. Grainger also passed for 144 yards on 15 completions with one touchdown pass.
