BIRMINGHAM – It was a Super Sunday for senior sprinter Ravin Gilbert, who broke her own school record in winning the 200m dash at the South Alabama Jaguar Invitational. The 18-team meet was held on Super Bowl Sunday at the Birmingham Indoor Complex. Six other Sun Belt schools were entered.
Gilbert broke her own school indoor mark in running 24.27 (23.90cv) to race past the 35-sprinter field on Sunday. Gilbert’s previous school mark of last season was 24.31.
GSU had another first-place winner in junior LaPorscha Wells in the shot put with a toss of 15.
