TROY, Ala. – Georgia State women’s soccer dropped its first conference match of the year after falling to Troy 3-0 Friday night at the Troy Soccer Complex.
The loss moved the Panthers to 4-5-1 overall and 1-1 in the Sun Belt while Troy improved to 6-2-3 on the year and 1-1-1 in league play.
Troy got the scoring started in the 35th minute of Friday’s contest, as Kiersten Edlund dished to Alisa Detlefsen who gave the Trojans their first goal of the night. Troy held a 4-3 advantage in total shots heading to halftime.
The Trojans added to their lead midway through the second half, getting two goals within a 10-minute span to expand their lead to 3-0.
