NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Georgia State men’s soccer saw its record setting nine-game unbeaten streak come to an end Tuesday night as the Panthers fell to Lipscomb 3-1 at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex for their first loss of the year.
The loss dropped GSU to 6-1-3 overall, capping the program record of most games to start a season without a loss at nine. Georgia State surpassed the previous record of seven set in 1967 on Oct. 1 against Stetson.
The Panthers struggled to create many scoring opportunities in the opening 45 minutes of Tuesday’s contest, facing a 6-1 deficit in total shots despite heading to the break with the score deadlocked at zero.
