ATLANTA -- Georgia State pitcher Hunter Gaddis was named Tuesday by USA Baseball to the Collegiate National Team roster for the upcoming series against Chinese Taipei.
The Collegiate National Team opens international play with its 17th USA vs. Chinese Taipei Collegiate All-Star Series tonight (June 27) at 6 p.m. at Bill Coleman Field at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. The series continues through July 1.
Gaddis, a 6-5 right-hander and a rising sophomore from Canton, Ga. (Sequoyah High School), is the first Georgia State player to compete for Team USA. In the Collegiate National Team's four-game series against teams from the Coastal Plains League (June 20-25), he went 1-1 with 10 strikeouts in four innings.
