ATLANTA -- Patechia Hartman, one of the top women's basketball players in Georgia State history and a long-time professional player, has been named an assistant coach on head coach Gene Hill's staff. She joins the GSU program after three seasons as the head coach at McDonough (Ga.) High School in the Atlanta area.
Hartman took at McDonough in 2020-21 and led the program to a berth in the Class AAAA state tournament her first year. She previously served as an assistant coach at Henry County High School, Westlake High School and Tri-Cities High School, her alma mater, and she spent two seasons (2010-12) as the head coach at Atlanta Metropolitan College.
