As a football player, Michael Hall helped make history as a member of Georgia State's inaugural team.
Now he is on track to become the first GSU football alum to be called “Doctor;” the former Panther linebacker is a third-year dental student at Augusta University's Dental College of Georgia.
After playing prep football at Dublin (Ga.) High School, Hall enrolled at Georgia State to study exercise science, but a funny thing happened along the way. Georgia State launched its football program, and Hall joined the team after participating in an open tryout in 2009.
He went on to play in 19 games as a safety and linebacker and make 74 tackles during the Panthers' first two seasons in 2010 and 2011.
