ATLANTA – Georgia State announced on Thursday a pair of additions to future football schedules as the Panthers will welcome Rhode Island and Chattanooga to Georgia State Stadium in upcoming years.
Georgia State will open the 2023 season on Sept. 2, hosting Rhode Island. The Rams will be making their first appearance in Atlanta. Georgia State traveled to Kingston, R.I., in 2012 earning a 41-7 win.
The Panthers will welcome Chattanooga to Georgia State Stadium for the first time in Week 2 of the 2024 season on Sept. 7. The Mocs are currently led by former Georgia State assistant coach Rusty Wright.
