ATLANTA -- Georgia State will host the first Saturday night game at Georgia State Stadium as the Panthers' home opener vs. Furman has been set for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Sept. 7.
The 2019 season marks the 10th season of Georgia State football, but for the first time, the Panthers will open on the road and on a Saturday. GSU travels to Knoxville, Tenn., to take on Southeastern Conference foe Tennessee on Saturday, Aug. 31. Kickoff at Neyland Stadium is at 3:30 p.m. and the game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
The home opener against Furman one week later will be televised on ESPN3.
