Fearnley Becomes First CoSIDA Academic All-American in Program History

ATLANTA – Georgia State junior Matthew Fearnley became the first men's soccer player in program history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America® recognition as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The awards recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Fearnley earned First-team Academic All-District® honors last month following a remarkable season on the pitch helping lead Georgia State to a sixth-straight conference tournament championship game appearance.
