Excitement is High as Panthers Open Practice

ATLANTA -- Every football coach is excited on the first day of preseason camp, and Georgia State's fourth-year head coach Trent Miles is no exception.

"It's been a long summer for me as far as waiting for this day to get here. Our guys are in the best condition they've ever been. They are bigger, stronger, faster, and they've trained extremely hard, so I'm really excited to get this thing rolling," Miles said Thursday as he met with the media a few hours before the team's first preseason practice of 2016.

This is easily the most highly-anticipated season in Georgia State's brief history as the Panthers look to build on last year's four-game winning streak and first bowl appearance.
