ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s golfers Josh Edgar and Egill Gunnarsson have been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Thursday. Both earned the honor in their first-year eligibility from the organization. The duo was among a record 266 Division I student-athletes to receive the honor.
Edgar earned Dean’s List honors during both the fall and spring semesters this past season. He competed in a team-high nine tournaments during the year compiling a 73.42 scoring average in 26 rounds of competition. Edgar tied for the team lead with two top 25 finishes and led the squad with 12 rounds of par or better.
