ATLANTA – Ivie Drake belted three home runs Wednesday to lead Georgia State’s softball team past Mercer 14-8. Drake’s third home run of the game was the 60th of her career which broke the GSU record.
Just one day after she was named Sun Belt Player of the Week for hitting four home runs in the three-game series against Troy over the weekend, Drake added to her total with three in her first three at-bats against the Bears on Wednesday.
Hitting in the lead-off spot for the Panthers, she hit a solo shot in the bottom of the first to cut into Mercer’s 2-0 lead.
