ATLANTA -- Fooball is back as the 2019 Georgia State Panthers practiced for the first time Friday morning at Georgia State Stadium, four weeks and one day before their season opener.
The Panthers have 105 players in camp as they begin preparations for their Aug. 31 season opener at Tennessee (3:30 p.m. on ESPNU. One week later, on Sept. 7, Georgia State opens its home slate by hosting Furman at 7 p.m. at Georgia State Stadium.
Georgia State returns 50 letterwinners, including nine starters on offense, seven on defense and standout punter-placekicker Brandon Wright.
Offensive linemen Hunter Atkinson and Pat Bartlett were sporting a new look for Friday's first practice: bald domes.
