ATLANTA- Three Georgia State women’s tennis players, headlined by Eva Chivu, received Sun Belt awards as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon. Chivu was elected conference Freshman of the Year and named Sun Belt First-Team Singles. Joining Chivu on the singles First-Team is senior Daniela Ramirez. Junior Damira Muminoviu0107 was awarded Second-Team singles honors for the second straight season.
Chivu is 11-6 in spring dual play at the number one flight for the Panthers and has an 8-1 mark against Sun Belt opposition. The freshman has won seven straight matches against conference foes and eight of her last nine matches overall.
