ATLANTA, Ga- Junior Simon Carlson was named to the All-Southeast Region Second Team by United Soccer Coaches, announced Tuesday afternoon. This honor is given to the most outstanding players in the Division I level of NCAA Men's Soccer.
The award comes after Carlson's stellar season with the Panthers. The junior started all 19 matches, co-leading the Panthers in goals with seven while tallying four assists for a total of 18 points. His 18 points, seven goals and 36 shots taken rank eighth in the Sun Belt and lead the Panthers. Carlson tallied two of his assists in the win over South Carolina and netted two game-winning goals against Georgia Southern (10/01) and Old Dominion (11/01).
