ATLANTA -- Luke Boynton homered and the Georgia State bullpen pitched four scoreless innings to lead the Panthers to a 5-2 victory over Middle Tennessee Tuesday at the GSU Baseball Complex.
GSU starter Camren Landry (1-3) struck out seven in five innings, allowing two runs on three hits to earn his first victory.
Then Georgia State (16-17) relievers Aidan McAllister, Zach Ottinger, Davis Chastain and Duncan Lutz finished the game with one scoreless inning each. Lutz recorded his first career save.
Boynton, the junior first baseman, broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning with his 10th homer of the season, a 2-run blast to right center.
