TAMPA, Fla. – Georgia State’s softball team capped Opening Weekend with a dominant 15-4 victory over UAB Sunday at the Wilson DeMarini Classic in Tampa, Fla.
Junior Remington Hasty jumpstarted the offense in the top of the first inning with a three-run home run to put the Panthers ahead early.
UAB got a run back in the bottom of the first, but Ivie Drake’s RBI-single in the second built the GSU lead back up to three at 4-1.
With GSU in front 4-2 in the fifth, freshman Skylar Mosel knocked in a pair of runs with a bases-loaded double.
