ATLANTA -- Georgia State senior safety Bobby Baker is a semifinalist for the 2016 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments®, announced Wednesday by the National Football Foundation.
The award recognizes an individual as the best football scholar-athlete in the nation. The NFF will announce 12-14 finalists on Nov. 1, and each will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2016 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class, presented by Fidelity. One finalist will be named the winner of the William V. Campbell Trophy at the 59th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 6 in New York City, and his postgraduate scholarship will be increased to $25,000.
