EUGENE, Ore. - LaPorscha Wells and Alysiah Whittaker wrapped up the 2017 Georgia State outdoor track and field season at the NCAA Championships Thursday in Eugene, Ore. Wells competed in the hammer throw and Whittaker threw the shot put.
Wells placed 13th in the hammer throw with a distance of 62.87m. That toss was just short of Wells' GSU record of 65.39m. Wells finishes her GSU career as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. Earlier this year, she earned All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships to become the first female track and field All-American in school history.
