STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern sophomore Zuri Clavo has been named the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimmer of the Week, announced today.
Clavo led Georgia Southern at this weekend's dual meet against UNF and Vanderbilt by placing first in the 1,000 Free in 10:28.03. Clavo also had a second-place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 5:06.89. She also placed fourth in the 800 Free Relay as the anchor leg.
"To have a student-athlete named CCSA Swimmer of the week within the first week of assuming the leadership of Georgia Southern Swimming & Diving is a privilege," Head Coach Allyson Sweeney said.
