HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Georgia Southern women's tennis team picked up a pair of wins on Thursday afternoon, defeating UNCW, 4-1, and Albany State, 7-0, at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center in Hilton Head.
The wins move Georgia Southern's record back to .500 on the campaign at 6-6. The Eagles will be next in action on Saturday, hosting Stetson in a non-conference tilt at 10:00 a.m. at the Wallis Tennis Center.
The Eagles opened the day's action against UNCW and dropped the doubles point to the Seahawks, but rebounded with four straight-set singles wins at the top four singles spots to clinch the victory.
