STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern women's tennis team closed out the 2021 regular season by picking up a 4-0 Sun Belt Conference win over Troy on Sunday morning to run its current win streak to eight.
The Eagles (16-8, 7-3 SBC) finished off an unbeaten home season against Sun Belt opponents and also went a stellar 10-2 at the Wallis Tennis Center in 2021. Troy falls to 7-10 overall and 3-6 in the Sun Belt with the loss. Georgia Southern now turns its attention to the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Tournament, which takes place Thursday through Sunday, April 15-18, in Peachtree City, Ga.
