MOBILE, Ala. - South Alabama women's tennis collected a 4-1 Sun Belt Conference victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Saturday morning in Mobile.
The Jaguars improved to 13-2 overall and 1-0 in the Sun Belt with the win. The Eagles fell to 6-6 overall and 0-2 in the league with the loss. Georgia Southern will wrap up its Alabama road swing by taking on Troy at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The doubles point was tightly contested as the No. 1 doubles duo of Elizabeth Goines and Sonja Kernane led Luminita Tutunaru and Nikola Kohoutova, 5-3, before the South Alabama pair came back to claim a 7-5 win.
