POINT CLEAR, Ala. – The Georgia Southern women's golf team finished second at the Sun Belt Women's Golf Championship on Thursday at Lakewood Golf Club. The Eagles fell in the final championship round of match play to Southern Miss as the Golden Eagles won 3-1-1.
Southern Miss secured the Sun Belt Championship claiming matches 1, 2, 5, to secure its first Sun Belt Championnship. Louise Cuyvers took a 2&1 win over Mary Miller before Taylor Trible outlasted Regina Plascencia 3&2. Sun Belt indivudal champion, Momoka Ando, sealed the deal for the Golden Eagles with a 2&1 win over Drive Tunwannarux.
