The Georgia Southern women’s golf team hosted their first tournament, The Strutter, and were able to walk away with the win over six other schools Monday.
After the weekend the Eagles looked at a total score of 911, beating out second place Boston College by 20 strokes.
Senior Ansley Bowman tied for first place individually, shooting a 74 in the first round and a 75 in both the second and third rounds, leading her to average +8 to par. Junior Ella Ofstedahl came in and claimed third individually, shooting a 77, a 74 and a 75.
The Eagles showed to lead the tournament with birdies, shooting 11 total, as well as coming in second with shooting pars, tallying 47.
