WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Mason Williams fired a 63 in the second round and backed it up with a 71 today to tie for seventh and lead the Georgia Southern men's golf team to an eighth-place finish at the Old Town Collegiate Invitational Tuesday at the Old Town Club.
Sparked by an eagle on the par-5, 526-yard 4th hole, Williams played the first six holes of his second round 4-under and was bogey free on the back nine with birdies at 12, 13 and 18. His 63 tied for the lowest of the event and is tied for the fourth-lowest in program history.
