STATESBORO — Georgia Southern men’s basketball redshirt sophomore center Tyshaun Crawford will transfer to Augusta University to continue his collegiate basketball career, according to the GS men’s basketball page.
Crawford, measuring in at 7-foot-1, is the first seven footer for the Eagles since alumna Emmett Smith in 1991. He put up a season high 14 points and eight rebounds against Carver College at the beginning of last season.
The center made First-Team All Region at Griffin High School in 2016 after averaging ten points and ten rebounds a game.
Augusta University is a Division II school that reached its fifth region championship game this season.
