CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has named Georgia Southern's Abby Newton and Haley Yerxa All-American Scholars.
Newton earns the honor for the fourth consecutive season while Yerxa is named for the second straight season. Both Eagles were named to the College Sports Communicators At-Large Academic All-District team last month.
A three-time All-Sun Belt selection, Newton competed in nine events for the Eagles posting a 74.33 scoring average over 27 rounds played. The Statesboro native led the Eagles at the Sun Belt Championship shooting 3-over par to finish T7.
