TROY - Troy used a five-run third inning to collect an 11-3 six-inning Sun Belt Conference softball victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon in Troy.
The Trojans earn the series win with the victory, moving to 32-15-1 overall and 13-6-1 in the Sun Belt. Georgia Southern falls to 17-30 overall and 6-14 in the league with the loss. The two teams will wrap up their three-game series with a 1:30 p.m. ET Sunday contest.
As they did on Friday, Troy took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on a two-out RBI single by Katelynn de Leon.
