STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern sophomore guard/forward Terren Ward has been named the inaugural Sun Belt Conference Sixth Woman of the Year, along with earning second-team All-Conference honors with the release of today's league awards by the conference.
Ward started nine of her 22 games played for the Eagles and led Georgia Southern in scoring average (15.3 ppg), rebounding (7.6 rpg) and steals (45) this season. She was the league's Player of the Week on February 15 for notching back-to-back 30 point games, becoming the first Georgia Southern player to do so since 1991.
