STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Athletics will hold a Teddy Bear Toss at halftime of Saturday's men's basketball game against Appalachian State in Hanner Fieldhouse Jan. 21.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new, medium-sized stuffed teddy bear to the game, and the bears will be donated to donate to Safe Haven, a program of Citizens Against Violence which offers an emergency safe house for adult and child victims of domestic violence serving Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Jenkins, Screven and Washington counties.
Fans register their bears at the table in the lobby of Hanner Fieldhouse by writing their name on a wrist band and attaching it to their bear.
