Georgia Southern swim and dive began its season Sept. 21 and will continue with eight competitions through February.
The Eagles began with their Blue and Gold, then swim began the season with a meet in Charleston against UNC Asheville, Queens and Davidson. The team finished fourth with scores of 142-62, 40-164, and 55-149, respectively. The Eagle’s best race came in the 50 free from 2018’s leader, sophomore Melissa Cox, who placed second in that individual event.
“Our women raced hard and brought a great team spirit to the meet,” Head Coach Amanda Caldwell said. “We have some work ahead of us to reach our goals at the end of the season.
