ATLANTA, Ga. - Elis Nemtsov's volley off of a Kamryn Nobles free kick in the 86th minute delivered Georgia Southern women's soccer's first regular season conference championship in program history as the Eagles captured the 2022 Sun Belt Conference title with a 1-0 victory over Georgia State on Thursday evening at the GSU Soccer Complex.
Georgia Southern ends the regular season having shut out its opponents in six straight contests and will take a 546 minute and 58 second scoreless streak into the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Championships as the No. 1 seed when the Eagles begin action in the tournament on Wednesday, November 2nd.
