STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook women's basketball used a 25-5 second quarter to come away with a 72-43 victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Tuesday evening at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena in Stony Brook, N.Y.
The Seawolves (3-1) picked up their third straight win with the victory, building a 32-point halftime lead. The Eagles (1-4) played better in the second half, outscoring Stony Brook by a 31-28 margin, but the first-half deficit proved to be too steep to overcome.

Alexis Brown was the only Eagle to reach double digit scoring on the day, doing so in her fifth straight game of the season.
