MOBILE, Ala. – Nick Stover came off the bench to score 16 points, and South Alabama shot 52 percent to snap Georgia Southern's eight-game win streak, topping the Eagles, 78-66, in Sun Belt men's basketball action Saturday night in the Mitchell Center.
Tookie Brown posted 23 points and three assists to lead Georgia Southern (14-7, 7-1), and Mike Hughes contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Montae Glenn posted his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
Stover was 5 of 7 from the field and 3 of 4 from 3-point range for South Alabama (10-11, 3-5).
