BOONE, N.C. – Georgia Southern softball dropped game two of its three-game series, 10-2, in six innings against App State on Saturday at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.
Georgia Southern (19-13, 3-2 SBC) struck first in the third to take a 2-0 lead over the Mountaineers. With two outs, Kayla Christensen and Emma Davis recorded back-to-back doubles to push a pair of runs across the plate.
App State (10-19, 1-4 SBC) would go on to score 10 unanswered runs over two innings. The Mountaineers took the lead in the fifth scoring six runs on three hits to make it 6-2.
