ATLANTA – Georgia Southern softball dropped its midweek matchup against Georgia Tech, 1-0, on Wednesday Night at Mewborn Field.
Georgia Southern (23-14, 7-2 SBC) put a pair of runners in scoring position in the third as Madi Gillespie recorded a double and Kayla Christensen singled to reach base but a foul out ended the threat. The Eagles out hit the Yellow Jackets 4-3 and left three runners on base.
Georgia Tech (22-14, 7-5) broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth on a two-out RBI single back up the middle to plate the lone run of the game, making the final 1-0.
