The Georgia Southern softball team went 1-2 in a three game series against conference opponent, Troy University, to improve to 19-21 overall this weekend.
Due to weather issues, Sunday’s game was cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday afternoon immediately after game two. This double header was favorable for the Eagles, who managed to win the last game of the series after falling in the first two.
Friday night, GS was held to one run in the whole game as Troy scored four runs in the first two innings alone. A double RBI by sophomore outfielder Ellington Day put GS on the board in the second inning.
