STATESBORO - Georgia Southern softball outfielder Shelby Wilson has been named a First-Team Academic All-American, announced today by CoSIDA and Google Cloud. Wilson becomes just the second player in Eagle softball history to earn first-team Academic All-American honors as awarded by the organizations.
Wilson enjoyed a career season for Georgia Southern in 2019 as the junior hit .354 with eight doubles, eight home runs and 37 RBI. She also drew a team-leading 30 walks for a .481 on-base percentage.
